Republican Liberty Caucus Of Texas Endorses James Dickey

Saturday, December 7, 2019 at their state board meeting in Houston, Texas, The Republican Liberty Caucus of Texas unanimously endorsed James Dickey in his re-election bid to remain state chairman for the Republican Party of Texas.

Experience matters, results matter; these are the foundations of Dickey’s campaign. In selecting a chairman, these cannot be more important items. The chairman needs to be knowledgeable on all the functions of the office. He must understand how the SREC works and its role, the rules of the party, the delegates and their role, how to raise funds, and how to appeal to the majority of Texas Republicans over just one group or another. More importantly, he needs to foster an environment that provides wins for Republicans against Democrats. James Dickey is qualified in all of those areas. His accomplishments include: $4.4 Million in Unrestricted Funds Raised To-Date Since Elected in June 2017, Worked with Republican Partners in Unprecedented Coalitions to Develop and Implement Coordinated, Data-Driven Plans to Register, Identify, and Turn Out the Voters to Win in 2020, More Field Staff Already in Place at this Point in the Election Cycle than Ever Before, Including Bilingual Staff, Testified for Legislation Supporting Party Platform with 90 Bills Passed Addressing Platform Planks in 2019, and Highest Level of Transparency at the State Party.

RLCTX Chairman, Jeff LebLanc stated, “James Dickey has been a great chairman. His willingness to seek inclusion from all Republicans to work on making platform planks a reality in the State Legislature has been amazing. His fairness, the ability to foster a working environment between all Republicans over division, is impressive. I, as well as the unanimous vote of the board, shows we have complete confidence in Chairman Dickey.” He continued, “ We have great respect for the service of his challenger in this race. However, most of us are simply uneasy handing over a chairmanship to a politician with little to no engagement in the actual  RPT processes over one with that has that knowledge and proven engagement.”

Carmen Calderone, RLCTX Vice Chairman added, “ James Dickey has given the grassroots a stronger voice in the party, from following the wishes of the delegates, to testifying and working in Austin last session almost daily. The chairman has lead by example, being there when it mattered.”

Dave Nalle, Travis County Republican Precinct Chairman 105, and RLC National At Large Board Member added, “James Dickey has always worked for the best interests of the Republican Party. He was great at encouraging party factions to work together on common interests here in Travis County and has continued that fair and even handed approach as state chair. He has earned another term.”

The RLCTX urges all of its members and delegates that attend the 2020 Republican Party of Texas State Convention in May to support Chairman Dickey.
