Republican Liberty Caucus Of Texas Endorses Carmen Calderone For SREC Committeeman SD 20
June 18, 2020- HOUSTON, TX – The Republican Liberty Caucus of Texas endorsed former RLCTX Vice Chairman, Carmen Calderone, in his run to become the next SREC Committeeman of SD 20.
Carmen has been a Republican grassroots activist for many years, and worked on several campaigns. He served, founded, and built one of the organization’s most successful chapters in Corpus Christi. He then served as the RLCTX Vice Chairman from 2016 – 2020. During his time as Vice Chairman, he planned and managed two RLCTX State conventions, and assisted with Legislative Priorities and Legislation engagement activities with the RLCTX. All with exceptional leadership qualities.
RLCTX Chairman, Jeff LebLanc stated, “Carmen was an exceptional Vice Chairman in this organization. I could not have asked for a better counterpart to manage our course over the past several years. He was invaluable in building relationships with Legislators on common issues during the Legislative Session. I was truly saddened to lose him as Vice Chairman, but more than happy to see him excell into larger roles. There are very few names that come to my mind that I would absolutely personally endorse, work for, and with, in the RPT structure than Carmen Calderone. He would be an asset to the party and all Republicans in SD 20.”
RLCTX Vice Chairman Travis Vest added, “I have worked closely with Carmen on the Nueces County executive committee, and the Republican Liberty Caucus of Texas for several years. Given today’s climate, we need people in leadership positions that are willing work hard, stand up for what is right, and have the communication skills to work effectively with all Republicans. I can say with confidence that he possesses all of these qualities and more. I consider Carmen a close, personal friend and proudly lend my support. I can think of no one better to represent our SD than Carmen.”
