On August 29, 2014, TXGOP Chairman Steve Munisteri, Republican Nominee for US Congress CD 36 Dr. Brian Babin and others will be at the Holiday Inn Express in Cleveland, Texas. The public is invited to attend.
While the event will feature elected officials, it will also present a panel discussion between varying views of GOP members. Local and Houston area members from Tea Party Conservatives, Traditional Conservatives as well as Liberty Conservatives will discuss issues and where they may differ as well as working together to push positive conservative agendas.
“We have held many of these throughout the district and they have always been successful. We all have common conservative goals we want to accomplish, and while mainstream media only wants to focus where we disagree, it is important to see all these gentlemen work together for party unity. Ross Ward, from right here in Liberty County, originally thought of this concept and it has grown more and more with each event. County residents should be proud of young conservatives, like Mr. Ward, joining the party and discussing issues important to us” Jeff LeBlanc, Vice Chairman, Republican Liberty Caucus of Texas.
Ross Ward added, “The Republican Party has never worked harder to take back the White House. After coming home in 2012 from the Republican National Convention, I decided to lay the ground work for a solid showing of conservatism from Southeast Texas in 2016. Republicans need to start working on forming a common ground and building bridges within all our factions , which is why this event is so crucial to the future success of republicans everywhere. I have received huge support in this event which is why we have hosted several of these events and they have grown to other counties hosting their own Conservative Republicans Coalition Forums .”
The event will be held in the lobby area of the Holiday Inn in Cleveland, Texas from 6-9 PM. The panel will consist of: Kent Batman-Chairman of the Republican Party of Hardin County (Moderator), Dale Huls (Harris County), Aubrey Vaughn (Liberty County), Briscoe Cain (Harris County), Klint Bush (Liberty County), Keith Strahan (Liberty County), and Art Sisneros (Liberty County). TX Representative John Otto, TX Senator Robert Nichols, Liberty County Republican Party Chairman Ken Coleman and SREC Representative Jim Wiggins have been invited to attend as well, but not yet confirmed as of press time. Representative James White and SREC Representative Judy Parada have other engagements and cannot attend.
